Adventure Acute Terms and Conditions
Insurance
Ensure your travel insurance covers trekking activities up to 6000m, including medical evacuation. Some policies may require upfront payment for evacuation in Nepal, reimbursed later. Costs can exceed $7000, so confirm coverage before your trip. Medical documentation from Nepalese hospitals is essential for claims. Popular insurers include WorldNomads, Allianz, and Travelguard.
Flight Delays
Himalayan weather often delays or cancels flights. Flights might operate from Ramechhap, a 4-hour drive from Kathmandu, with transport provided. Helicopter options, if flights are canceled, incur additional costs (~$400+). Consider booking extra days post-trek to accommodate delays.
Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy ensures flexibility while covering operational costs. If you need to reschedule, it’s free with at least 4 weeks’ notice before the trek’s start. For cancellations with 4+ weeks’ notice, 20% of the payment is refundable. Unfortunately, cancellations within 4 weeks of the trek are non-refundable due to prior arrangements. In case of unforeseen events like natural disasters or political unrest, we prioritize rescheduling your trek, although standard policies still apply. Please contact our team promptly for any adjustments.
Payment Methods
A deposit confirms your trek. Remaining balances can be paid at our Kathmandu office in cash or major currency. Card payments incur a 13% fee. Indian guests may pay deposits online or via an Indian account.
