You will leave Kathmandu early in the morning. The trip starts with a beautiful drive through Nepal’s beautiful scenery, gradually going up in elevation. As you leave the Kathmandu Valley, you’ll see small towns, terraced fields, and roads that wind through the mountains.
The road goes through Trishuli, a town on the Trishuli River, where you can see how the river winds through the area. As you keep going up, you’ll reach Dhunche, which is the center of the Rasuwa District and is about 1,960 meters above sea level.
The road from Dhunche goes down for a short time before slowly going back up towards Syabrubesi. On the last part of the drive, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Langtang mountain range and the hills nearby.
Finally, you’ll reach Syabrubesi, a cute town that sits at an elevation of about 1,460 meters. You can start your trekking journey at Syabrubesi, which is the gateway to the Langtang Valley trek. When you get there, take some time to get used to the higher elevation and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this mountain town.
Stay the night in Syabrubesi to rest and get ready for the next few days of hiking. The lower elevation of Syabrubesi is a gentle start to the higher elevations you’ll see as you go further into the Langtang area.

From Syabrubesi, you will start your walk to the Lama Hotel, which will take you through beautiful scenery and up a gradual hill.
The path winds through dense forests of rhododendron and bamboo, making for a beautiful view as you trek. As you walk along the path, you’ll come across suspension bridges that cross the rough Langtang Khola. This is a fun way to get across.
After a steady trek, you’ll reach the town of Bamboo, which is about 1,900 meters above sea level. As you keep walking, the trail opens up to show stunning views of the Langtang range. Keep an eye out for animals that live in the area, like the colorful Himalayan birds and, if you’re lucky, the red panda.
You’ll go through the villages of Rimche and Thangsyap further along the road before you reach the Lama Hotel, which is at an elevation of about 2,470 meters. In the quiet beauty of the Langtang Valley, the Lama Hotel is a cozy place to rest.
As you settle down for the night, use the time to get used to the higher elevation and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Lama Hotel. Today’s slow trek makes the next few days easier as you explore more of the beautiful Langtang region’s landscapes.

You’ll start with an exciting trek from Lama Hotel to the culturally rich Langtang Village. This will give you a chance to get to know the area’s beautiful scenery better.
As you continue your journey, the path slowly goes up through dense forests, where you might see wild animals among the rhododendron and oak trees. Along the way, you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and the soothing sounds of nature.
As you slowly make your way up, you’ll see beautiful waterfalls and cross the Langtang Khola on beautiful suspension bridges. As you go up, the views of the Langtang range get better, which adds to the amazing feeling of the trek.
The village of Ghoda Tabela, which is about 3,000 meters above sea level, will be reached about halfway through the day’s trip. Right here is a great place to relax and enjoy the wide views of the mountains nearby.
As you keep going up, the path opens up to Langtang Village, which is at an elevation of about 3,430 meters. Even though the 2015 earthquake damaged the town, it has been rebuilt, and you’ll see how strong and friendly the people there are.

Langtang Valley walk takes you from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa, a spiritual haven. The trip is shorter, but the views are just as beautiful. The trail starts at Langtang Village, which is about 3,430 meters above sea level. It winds through mountain scenery and offers beautiful views of Langtang Lirung and other nearby peaks. The trek goes through yak farms and high-altitude meadows, giving you a chance to see how people in the area go about their daily lives.
As you go up, you’ll see the old Chortens and Mani walls that are decorated with prayer flags, which will make you feel more spiritual. As you take each step along the path leading to Kyanjin Gompa, you can see more and more of the beautiful Himalayan peaks. It will take you about 3.25 hours of hiking to get to Kyanjin Gompa, which is 3,800 meters above sea level. A beautiful view of snow-capped peaks surrounds this holy church, giving visitors a sense of peace and spiritual comfort.
When you get to Kyanjin Gompa, take some time to look around the temple, talk to the monks there, and enjoy the spiritual atmosphere. You can choose to go on an optional sunrise walk to either Kyanjin Ri or Tsergo Ri on the sixth day of your Langtang Valley trek. This will be an amazing experience that you will never forget.
The trek to the top of Kyanjin Ri usually takes two to three hours. You will begin your trek early in the morning and follow the steep path to the top of Kyanjin Ri, which is 4,773 meters high. After all your hard work, you’ll be rewarded with a stunning view of the Langtang Valley and the hills in the area, all lit up by the golden light of dawn. Take your time to enjoy the beauty of the Himalayas before you go back down to Kyanjin Gompa.
If you want to go on a longer trip, Tsergo Ri gives you a better view. It might take 5–6 hours to walk to Tsergo Ri. As you trek to an elevation of about 4,984 meters, the views get even better, giving you a beautiful view of the Langtang range. From Tsergo Ri, the sunrise is a magical show that turns the snow-covered hills a warm color. Enjoy the sunrise, and then go back down to Kyanjin Gompa. No matter which choice you choose, this sunrise trek is a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable experience that shows off the beauty of the Langtang Valley in the early morning light.
After the sunrise walk, you can spend the day at Kyanjin Gompa, where you can explore the area, talk to other trekkers, or just relax in the peace and quiet of this high-altitude retreat. So long to the peaceful scenery of Kyanjin Gompa on the seventh day of your Langtang Valley walk. Start your descent towards Lama Hotel. On this day of hiking, you will go back over your previous steps in the beautiful Langtang Valley.
From the spiritual center of Kyanjin Gompa, which is 3,800 meters above sea level, you’ll be able to see colorful prayer flags and traditional Tibetan prayer wheels as you go down through beautiful scenery. On the way back, the path goes through yak pastures, meadows at high elevation, and cute villages.
While you walk back the way you came, stop and enjoy the different views of the mountains that surround you. The drop gives you a different view of the Langtang range and gives you great chances to take pictures along the way.
During the six-hour trek, you’ll go through Langtang Village. There, you can learn more about the area’s rich culture and maybe even interact with the people who live there. As the altitude drops, the gradual fall makes it easier to get used to it.
By the end of the day, you’ll have reached the Lama Hotel, which is about 2,470 meters above sea level. The Lama Hotel is a peaceful place to stay the night, giving you a well-deserved break after a day of trekking. You will leave from Lama Hotel and take a beautiful ride to Syabrubesi. This will be the end of your trek through the beautiful Langtang area. Today’s trek takes a different way through Sherpagaon, making for a more interesting and varied trail.
The path takes you back through lush rhododendron and bamboo forests as it goes down from the Lama Hotel, which is about 2,470 meters above sea level. As you keep going down, you’ll see cute towns, suspension bridges, and sometimes a big view of the Langtang mountain range.
When you get to Sherpagaon, which is about 2,560 meters above sea level, take a moment to enjoy the peace and quiet and the unique culture of this area. Sherpagaon gives you a different view of the Langtang Valley walk, showing how varied it is.
The trail then goes down even more, going through terraced fields and small towns on its way to Syabrubesi. With an elevation of about 1,460 meters, Syabrubesi is the end of your hiking trip. Here, you can think back on the beautiful scenery, interesting people you met, and difficulties you overcame on the Langtang Valley trek.

As you say goodbye to the mountain scenery on the ninth day of your Langtang Valley trip, you will be driving back to the busy city of Kathmandu for eight hours. The trip goes back along the beautiful route, giving you one last chance to enjoy the different landscapes and beautiful views of Nepal’s countryside.
After leaving Syabrubesi, which is about 1,460 meters above sea level, the drive goes through winding mountain roads, cute towns, and along the region’s rivers that flow over rocks. As you travel, you’ll see the landscape change from mountainous to lush slopes, giving you a constantly changing view. As you slowly make your way down, think about the difficult treks, new cultural experiences, and beautiful nature sights you saw on your Langtang Valley trek.
The eight-hour drive back to Kathmandu gives you time to think about and enjoy the different scenery that have become a part of your trip. When you get back to Kathmandu, you can enjoy the city’s comforts while still remembering your trip in the Himalayas. You can spend the evening thinking about how the trek changed you and enjoying the things you did during your time in the Langtang area.
